Challenge:
Providing members with an interactive learning and behavior modification application was one way this leading Employee Assistance Provider (EAP) wanted to offer a 21st Century solution to some of the most common unhealthy lifestyles. Yet, the client did not have the technical expertise in-house to develop a complex, web-based application that would allow members to review curriculum materials, communicate with their program Coaches and monitor how effectively they utilized the program.
Solution:
Life Advantages' Technical Services team analyzed the client's current workflow and sought to create a program that mirrored their processes. The team outlined a strategy for the creation of three distinct applications: the behavior modification application, an easy-to-update content management database and an intelligent administrative database.
While Technical Services began the construction of each of these three programs, Life Advantages' Creative Development began to review the curriculum materials proposed by the client. Each curriculum assignment was formatted for use online. The complete battery of guides, articles, tools and calculators for each of the five modules, numbered in over one hundred unique curriculum materials.
With the completion of the three applications by Technical Services, the implementation process began. Creative Development organized and categorized each curriculum assignment into the Content Management application. Once the content was made available, Life Advantage's began a rigorous testing phase of all three applications. With the joint efforts of both Life Advantages' and the client's Quality Assurance teams, changes to the applications and the content were completed.
To enhance the functionality of the behavior modification application and its associated databases, Creative Development produced a series of informative and instructional films. These tutorials were created in conjunction with an online Help Guide. By combining a step-by-step walk though with interactive video presentations, Life Advantages was able to provide a trouble-shooting strategy for both the EAP's members and its administrators who were responsible for managing the program.
Results:
With a professional design that mirrors the client's brand identity and user-friendly navigation, the behavior modification application has been an overwhelming success. Due to the effectiveness of the core curriculum materials, the client has continued to create additional modules to enhance their already impressive battery of classes. Life Advantage's continues to provide regular technical support and content management, overseen by each respective department and monitored by the client. |
